Tanya Bourgoin- East Haddam for First Selectman
Why I’m Running For First Selectman...
-
I want to work in and for East Haddam because I love our small town.
-
I am not running for my own gain or ego. I don’t want to become a senator or the governor. I don’t want to work in the State Capitol or the White House.
-
The common theme in the challenges presently facing East Haddam is that we are under leadership that rushes to conclusions, makes rash determinations, is not responsive to the will of the people, is reluctant to seek alternative solutions and lacks long term vision.
-
Making uninformed and hasty decisions without transparency only ever leads to more disputes and further dissension.
-
I will work to find the best outcomes for these challenges, not settle for the easiest or the quickest.
-
East Haddam has a lot to offer. We are blessed to have an abundance of natural beauty, history and culture. We are a uniquely rural, quirky, magnificent town full of large personalities, tremendous talent and extraordinary character.
I don’t want to change East Haddam; I want to get East Haddam back on track. I want East Haddam to thrive.
East Haddam needs leadership that is fair, frugal and focused on our future. East Haddam needs Full Time Tanya
“I was born in a small town and I live in a small town.Got nothing against a big town. Still hayseed enough to say, "look who's in the big town"But my bed is in a small town and that's good enough for me!Well, I was born in a small town and I can breathe in a small town,Gonna die in this small town; that’s probably where they'll bury me”
